The Opportunities

Depending on the team you’re working in, you’ll develop a niche set of skills and be asked to work hours that suit the production requirements.  Here’s a brief overview of the roles and duties we’re seeking:

Pastry Team | Yeast Team

Weigh/scale ingredients; mix doughs; laminate/sheet pastry; prepare pasties; monitor yeast/fermentation and dough temps; set up and change over lines.

Wrapping Team

Load and pack wrapped baked goods for distribution.

Dice & mince meats; complete production records.

Afternoon Packing Team

Carefully packing and handling baked goods while maintaining accuracy, efficiency, and product presentation for our customers. 

Hours of Work
Based on the role type and given we’re a 24/7 production environment, start and finish times will vary.  As a general guide, our shifts typically fall into the following groupings and are usually for 7.6hrs per shift. 

• Mornings – starts between 2am - 9:30am

• Afternoons – starts between 1pm – 5pm

• Nights – starts between 7:30pm – 1am

The Role

The Afternoon Packer is responsible for preparing freshly baked products for sale, delivery, or storage. This role involves carefully packing and handling baked goods while maintaining accuracy, efficiency, and product presentation. The position requires strict adherence to Food Safety and Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) standards to ensure all items are packaged correctly and consistently meet the high-quality standards that Vili’s is known for.

Hours of Work

Your roster will be Monday to Friday, commencing at 3:30pm. You will work an 8-hour shift or until the required work has been completed. There may also be the option to work every third Sunday.

We are seeking reliable Kitchen Hands, Sandwich Artists and Catering Assistants to join the Vili's Family.

Rosters 

Our Production Kitchen work 5 shifts a week Sunday to Friday with 1 day off during the week and access to reasonable overtime to meet business demand. 

• Afternoon team (1pm or 2pm start) - assembling the sandwiches, wraps, baguettes, salad cups and other "grab and go" style items, ready for sale through both Vili's and customer retail cafes and outlets.

• Assemble & Pack: Build sandwiches, wraps, baguettes and salad cups to spec; weigh/label/date-code; present products neatly and consistently for retail.

• Food Safety & Hygiene: Follow SOPs/HACCP, allergen controls, FIFO and temperature checks; clean-as-you-go and end-of-shift cleaning.

• Teamwork & Pace: Work to production plans and deadlines; communicate clearly with Team Leaders and FOH/Dispatch; rotate tasks to support the team.

• Experience in fast-paced kitchens or food production (canteens, cafés, food trucks or manufacturing) is ideal

• Comfortable with repetitive tasks and working in chilled environments

• Attention to detail with recipes, portioning, labelling and presentation

• Handle and dilute chemicals safely (PPE, SDS, labels), maintain segregation for allergens and prevent cross-contamination

• Reliable and available for full-time hours over an ongoing pattern of either 5:00 am or 1:30 pm start
• Able to perform physical work (on your feet, repetitive tasks, lifting up to ~20 kg, wet/cold/warm environments)

We are seeking an Accountant to join our Finance team in Adelaide. Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, this hands-on role offers exposure across financial and management accounting, reporting, budgeting, manufacturing, and business improvement.

This is an excellent opportunity for an accountant who enjoys working beyond the numbers and wants to gain deeper insight into the commercial and operational drivers of a successful business.

The Role

Working closely with the CFO and Finance team, you will support accurate financial reporting while providing analysis and insights that help drive business performance.

Key responsibilities include:

• Month-end and year-end processes, including journals, accruals and prepayments
• General ledger maintenance and balance sheet reconciliations
• Monthly financial reporting and analysis
• Budgeting, forecasting and financial planning support
• Product costing, inventory analysis and manufacturing variance reporting
• Fixed asset and capital expenditure reporting
• BAS, GST, and statutory compliance preparation
• Financial analysis to support operational and commercial decision-making
• Partnering with operational teams to understand costs, margins, waste and key performance drivers
• Supporting system improvements, automation and stronger financial controls

About You

You will have:

• At least 3 years' experience in an Accountant or similar financial accounting role
• Strong experience with month-end processes, reconciliations and financial reporting
• Sound knowledge of Australian accounting principles
• Advanced Excel skills and strong analytical capability
• CPA or CA qualification (or working towards one) is highly regarded

Experience within manufacturing, FMCG or food production environments, including exposure to inventory, product costing, ERP systems, budgeting and forecasting, will be highly valued.
